Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Add Pasteboard handles, why we need it, and the choices available to you when you create, share, open, or manage content on addpaste.com.

1. Information We May Collect

Account and service information

We may collect information you provide, including your email address, account credentials in hashed form, paste content, uploaded files, display modes, visibility choices, expiry settings, and other paste-management settings.

Usage, device, and network information

We may automatically collect IP addresses, approximate country or region, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, requested pages, timestamps, account activity, paste creation, paste views, downloads, uploads, moderation events, rate-limit events, and security events. Administrative activity and paste creation may be associated with an IP address for security, abuse prevention, analytics, and legal compliance. Raw IP addresses are restricted to authorized administrators.

Contact information

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide so we can review and respond to your enquiry. We store a one-way network identifier for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use required cookies for account sessions and security. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, its beacon may collect limited page, browser, device, referrer, and network information for aggregate site measurement. We do not currently use advertising cookies or serve ads.

2. How We May Use Information

• Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve Add Pasteboard services.
• Create and manage accounts, sessions, pastes, uploads, and dashboards.
• Measure traffic, performance, usage trends, and storage consumption.
• Detect malicious content, fraud, invalid traffic, abuse, and policy violations.
• Respond to inquiries and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the public, and our rights.

3. Analytics and Current Advertising Status

Add Pasteboard does not currently serve advertising or use Google advertising services. Cloudflare Web Analytics may be enabled for aggregate service measurement. If advertising or another analytics provider is introduced later, we will update this policy and add any notice or consent controls required before that processing begins.

4. Consent and Privacy Choices

You may block non-essential browser technologies through your browser or privacy tools. Required account cookies cannot be disabled within the service because they are needed to sign in securely. We will present additional privacy choices if future features require them.

5. How We May Disclose Information

We may disclose information to hosting, database, security, analytics, and other service providers; to investigate abuse, fraud, malicious content, or security incidents; when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect the rights, safety, and property of Add Pasteboard, users, or others; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; or with your direction or consent.

6. Data Retention and Security

Deletion and expiration make a paste or uploaded file unavailable through the public service, but the underlying record is soft-deleted and retained for authorized administrative review, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and service security. Account, contact, security, and audit records may also be retained for those purposes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. International Processing

Information may be processed in Singapore, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from your country of residence.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Singapore users may request access or correction under the Personal Data Protection Act. Requests may be subject to identity verification, retained security records, and legal exceptions, and you may have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.

9. Children's Privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Third-Party Content

Pastes, uploads, and links in user content may lead to third-party websites or services. We do not control their privacy practices, content, or security. Review the privacy policy of each third-party service you visit.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
